Behind Blue Eyes

My son, Seth... so much going on behind those eyes, I often wonder what he's hearing back there.

Relaxed and Groovy

Damn, this kid has grown! If you go far enough back in my gallery, there's a shot of him working on his homework... he looks so much smaller there!

I came to deviantART in 2003 as a poet, opening up an account I hadn't intended to keep (or at least didn't take seriously), at the advice of another deviant. Little did I know that I would be sticking around for as long as I have.

The first photos I had posted were some off-the-cuff shots I had taken for the deviant who advised me to create the account. People really seemed to like what I did, and I found that I really enjoyed doing it.

Photography became my passion, keeping me company when I was lonely, providing me an outlet for the pain I was dealing with (and it still does). In a way, I was taking my pain and making it something beautiful and tangible.

I do hope that you take the time to look at my work, and that you enjoy what you see there!

Namaste!

My paints have arrived!

I must say that I am a little nervous and excited all at the same time! So many prospects are open to me at the moment! :giggle: I honestly have not done this in any heavy fashion since a couple years after high school and I can't help but wonder if it will be like riding a bike.

What I can say with all certainty, is that it will be a little bit before I post anything that I've painted... as I sketch, get some ideas, test the waters, get my feet wet... and finally swim.

No matter what, though, I AM looking forward to getting paint all over me again (a habit that I had when I painted years ago... used to wear it like a badge at school... :nerd: )

Here's to delving into new/old things, and rounding oneself out!
